The vast majority of services in HIBP are completely free, including personal email address searches for breaches and stealer logs, notifications for personal email addresses and domains, most domain searches and all searches of Pwned Passwords. Only searches of larger domains, searches for domains in stealer logs and using the API to search through breaches require a paid subscription.

Domain Search

The Domain Search feature allows verified domain owners to query all email addresses from their domain that have appeared in known data breaches and stealer logs.

After verifying domain ownership via our self-service tool, the owner can search the entire history of their domain via the browser or API, and receive email alerts when one of their addresses appears in a future breach.

API

The API provides programmatic access to breach data, allowing developers and security teams to check whether addresses have been exposed in known breaches.

The API is frequently used to assess the exposure of individuals in data breaches, or check entire domains. It's frequently integrated into monitoring services to help automate the process of breach detection and response.
